Restaurant Marketing Ideas That Work!

We recently conducted a survey in which we asked our members to tell us about their greatest marketing accomplishments. We were amazed at some of the creative ideas they came up with to increase their sales and promote their restaurant.

We thank all the members that participated. If you have a great marketing promotion that was successful for you and you'd like to share it with us, please send us an email to [email protected]. Please include a brief description of what you did and the results you achieved.

Here are some of the great responses we have received so far.

We spent $25,000 over the course of 4 months on letters to non-customers. It yielded us a return of $250,000 in regular business over the course of one year.
Partnering with a local food pantry to raise money and canned food donations. We brought in over 500 pounds of food, and received local newspaper coverage.
We offer 10% of our gross sales to charitable organizations and urge them to market for us, the more business they bring us the better their donation. We once partnered up with the marketing and public relations club at the university...they did fabulous for us.

This promo was very successful and fun for our guests. We hung empty gas cans from the ceiling and got guests telling their friends and family about it. "Gasoline Giveaway" We're Doing It Again!!! ROYALTY MEMBERS Mama Luigi's 500 Gallon Gas Giveaway! With rising gas prices and Americans having to choose between what activities to enjoy based on how much gasoline they can afford, I thought I might make your decision on where to eat a little easier by providing the gasoline to get here. I'm going to start with 500 gallons and at about $3.50 a gallon, that comes to over $1700.00 in gasoline I'll be giving away! I ordered 500 one gallon gasoline cans like the one in the picture above and was ready to start filling them up with gas when my wife Victoria said "Are you insane !!! You can't have 500 gallons of gasoline lying around a restaurant. Do you want to blow us all up to kingdom come!" She may have a point there. So on with plan B. 1. You come in for dinner (feel free to bring your friends and family) 2. I give you a shiny new "empty" gasoline can and $3.50 off your bill (it's probably safer this way) 3. You enter our "Tank Full" drawing for a $100.00 gas card and I'll be "tankfull" you came in for dinner and I didn't burn the place down! (for current royalty members only, one offer per visit).
