The Garden Catering Story
From a Single Counter-service Luncheonette to an Iconic 10-unit Concept
By Jim Laube

When smart operators take over an existing concept, they know what to improve and what not to change. Frank Carpenteri wisely preserved the restaurant’s original recipes and elevated the concept’s signature chicken nuggets into what has been called a “regional obsession.”

At the heart of the concept are fresh, hand-prepared comfort foods with a focus on high-quality ingredients, including antibiotic-free, 100% white meat chicken, delivered through quick-service meals, catering for events, and nationwide distribution. In addition to the signature chicken nuggets, customer favorites include crispy, fried cylinders of mashed potatoes called, “Potato Cones” and an award-winning breakfast sandwich, “The Hotsy,” a combination of bacon, egg, cheese, and spicy chili on a kaiser roll. Other popular menu items include the Kale Caesar Wrap, BBQ Chicken Wrap, and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich.
